San Diego Comic Con: Con Plague

I'm doing what I can to minimize Con Plague by staying in the hotel today.  Con Plague is the general nickname that convention guests and attendees give to the illnesses that they come down with after, or sometimes during a convention. After all, if you have a large group of people: some of whom have questionable hygiene; some of whom are too amped up on con adrenaline to notice (or care) that they have an illness; and some of whom are required to be there for their jobs, regardless of sniffles; and you have a potent stew of germs.

I appear to have caught whatever bug my sister had on Tuesday. It consists of hot flashes, chills, nausea, headache, body aches, and general fatigue. I might have a fever, but I don't have a thermometer. I'm a bit alarmed as to how soon I caught it after Maureen had it, but she assures me it only lasts a day. I hope I haven't given it to anyone I've seen in the last couple of days. My desire to limit who gets it is the consolation I have for missing out on panels, protests, and helping friends at the show.
